Our Policies


We understand that clients sometimes need to change or cancel their appointments. should you need to do so we ask respectfully for at least 48 hours notice.

Last minute cancellations, late arrivals and no-shows badly affect both other clients and our salon so we make a cancellation charge in those circumstances.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, or arrive too late for your appointment to go ahead there is a charge of 50% of the expected cost of your appointment.

If you do not show your appointment and fail to turn up altogether 100% of the expected cost will be charged.

No further appointments may be made or go ahead until any cancellation charge has been paid.


We understand that bringing your children to the salon during your service may be convenient at times, but at Sage & Ivy we feel that children who attend their parents’ appointments pose a significant safety issue.

With regret we ask you to make other arrangements for your children when you come for your service.

A salon is not the safest place for a child, since hot tools, very sharp objects, and chemicals are in regular use. Our stylists struggle to carry out your service if they also need to keep an eye on child safety, which also ends in them running late for their next client.

We as a salon want to ensure that both you and our other clients receive a relaxing treatment, and unfortunately the salon is not big enough for children to take up a section.

Therefore, if on arrival at the salon for your treatment, if you have children with you, your treatment will need to be cancelled which may result in a cancellation charge, this is for the benefit of your children and all clients.

We have the upmost respect for our parent clients and some of our staff are parents themselves, so we know that this may be inconvenient.
